Walter van Dyk was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is a professional actor in film and television, recently filming with Jodie Foster and Shailene Woodley on The Mauritanian directed by Kevin MacDonald, and with Sienna Guillory and Lindsay Duncan on A Banquet directed by Ruth Paxton. He can be seen in the TV series Mood with Nicole Lecky on BBC 3 as well as with David Tennant in the TV series Around the World in 80 Days on BBC 1, a France Télévisions co-production as part of Alliance. Other television includes Harley and the Davidsons, London's Burning, Birds of a Feather, The Detectives, the Lynda la Plante series Framed and the BBC Screenplay Can't Stop me Dreaming. In theatre has worked extensively in London's West End in Olivier Award nominated shows.
