Nobutaka Nishizawa

Nobutaka Nishizawa debuted as technical director in several episodes of the TV animation series "Hustle Punch" (1965-66). After directing episodes of "Muretsu Ataro", "Gegege no Kitaro" and "Great Mazinger", Toei offered him the chance of directing the second film based in the manga by Gô Nagai & Dynamic Pro., entitled "Mazinger-Z Vs. General Darkness" in 1974. In 1979 he directed several episodes of the TV series "Galaxy Express 999" created by Reiji Matsumoto, with such good results that later he was promoted to chief director of several TV Movies and the second film of that series, "Galaxy Express 999: Clea of Glass" (1980). He is also chief director of all the "Shonan Bakusozoku: Bomber Bikers of Shonan" (1986-98) Original Video Animation Series.
