Sharan Venugopal is a national award winning filmmaker from Kerala, India. He is an alumnus of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata. His diploma film Oru Paathiraa Swapnam Pole (Like A Midnight Dream) won the best film on Family values at the 67th National Film awards. The film was also screened at the 51st International Film Festival of India, Goa under the Indian Panorama section. Sharan was also a part of an exchange program at Zelig school of documentary and New media, Bolzano, Italy and directed a documentary titled 'Dual' from there. His films have been also a part of festivals like Mumbai International Film Festival, Kolkata International Film Festival, Indian Film festival Stuttgart etc.
